Vocal Sport: Singing

Stage Name: Traci Hines

Dr. Reena Gupta did my vocal fold surgery back in 2017 and gave me my life back. After a lifetime of thinking I just had a “weak” voice, living half my life on vocal rest & in pain, she correctly diagnosed me when so many other doctors couldn’t, and found the source of my issue. I had vocal polyps, but there was hope. She not only removed them and gave me the surgery I desperately needed, she also made me feel so uniquely informed, understood, cared for and comfortable every step of the way. I don’t think I’ve ever had a doctor listen to me that thoroughly in my appointments, or take the time to speak with me so in depth about my health. Add to that, she connected me with a vocal team comprising of two of the most incredible vocal therapists and coaches I’ve ever known, who work with me on an ongoing basis to ensure I remain in top vocal health. She surrounds herself with the best, and she herself is nothing short of a miracle to singers like me who thought it was impossible to become fully healed. I cannot recommend her enough.

I still don’t take even one day for granted that I have my voice, not just back, but better than it ever was before. Post-surgery I can hit notes I’ve never sung, and my voice is clearer than it’s ever been. And I’m no longer in pain. I tell everyone about Dr. G, and I know she is changing lives every single day! I seem to get a DM or message online now just about every 2 weeks from someone who found my vlogs on YouTube talking about my surgery, who is either considering or about to have surgery themselves. I feel really blessed to have the opportunity to hopefully help them feel a little less alone. I always tell them about Dr. Gupta-she is the best doctor I’ve ever known.

Thank you again so much Dr. G, for taking me on back then as a patient, and for giving me so much hope and healing. I am forever grateful for you. Words just can’t express what you’ve given back to me. I feel truly blessed to have had you as my doctor and surgeon, and in the most genuine way, you’re my hero.
