Before 2016, I never understood the importance of regular visits with a laryngologist. After over 15 years of singing professionally, I almost waited until it was too late and my vocal folds were beyond repair. It was the great work of Dr. Reena Gupta implementing a (then) new technique to repair a dilated blood vessel in my vocal fold. She was able to miraculously restore my voice and save my career with her innovative surgical techniques. Though it must be mentioned she believes in exhausting every therapeutic option until surgery is the last recourse. I trust Dr. Gupta implicitly with my vocal life and continue to recommend her to my colleagues. I’m forever in her debt for how she healed me and she is invaluable to the vocal community at large.
